Delete your account

This page explains how to delete your account in AWG — AI World Guide and the data associated with it — in the app, or without the app.

In the app

1. Open the Profile tab.
2. Tap the gear icon, Settings.
3. Open Privacy.
4. Tap Delete account, then confirm with Delete.

Without the app

1. Write to [ПОЧТА ПОДДЕРЖКИ] with the subject Delete account.
2. Send it from the email address you signed in with, or include that address. If you never signed in with email, see the note below.
3. We delete the account and confirm by reply within 30 days.

If you never signed in with email, your account is anonymous and we cannot tell it apart from anyone else’s by email. Delete it in the app as above; an anonymous account with no activity for 180 days is also deleted automatically.

What is deleted

• Your account and your email address.
• Your saved places and the history of places you opened, on our server.
• Your daily free-limit counters.
• On your phone, when you delete in the app: your lists, profile name and picture. A new install identifier is created.

What is kept, and why

• Usage events and records of paid operations stay under the old install identifier, which is no longer linked to you. They are used to run and pay for the service, and are kept for up to 180 days.
• The shared cache of questions and answers about places, which never recorded who asked: up to 30 days, not linked to the account.
• The irreversible hash of your IP address used for limits: up to two days.
• Information about places (facts, stories), which is not about you.
• Your settings on the phone, until you remove the app.
