Privacy Policy
AWG — AI World Guide is provided by LLC ITNA, Building 80, Yalangach Residential Area, Mirzo Ulugbek District, Tashkent, Uzbekistan (“we”). Questions about this policy: [ПОЧТА ПОДДЕРЖКИ].
In short
- We do not sell your data, show ads, or track you across other apps and websites.
- Your location is used to find places around you and to build routes. It is sent to the services that do that work, but we do not store it.
- Voice questions are recognised on your phone; the sound is never sent. Camera pictures are not uploaded.
- When you first open a place card or save a place, the app creates an anonymous account, and we keep your saved places and history on our server so they survive a new phone. You can delete all of it at any time.
What we collect and why
Location while the app is open
With your permission the app reads your precise location to put the map where you are, to recognise the building you point the camera at, to plan a route (also when you ask for one in the chat), for a tour and for Explore. The “Around me” list and search are measured from the centre of the map, not from your position. To name your city on the profile screen, your position is passed to your phone’s own geocoder (Apple or Google). The location is sent, without being stored, to our database service (Supabase) as part of those requests, and to Mapbox when you ask for a route.
Location in the background (Explore)
What it is for. Explore tells you about places you pass while the phone is in your pocket and the screen is off. To do that it needs your location while the app is in the background.
When. Only while Explore is switched on. It is off by default, it is not remembered after the app restarts, and it turns itself off after one hour. On Android a notification is shown for as long as it runs; on iPhone the system shows the location indicator.
What happens to it. Each position is sent to our database service to find places ahead of you. It is not stored. The app records which place it chose to tell you about and how far away it was, together with the install identifier described below.
How to turn it off. Tap “Stop narration” on the map, or change the location permission to “While Using” (iPhone) or remove it (Android) in the system settings.
Install identifier and usage events
The app creates a random identifier when it is installed. It is not derived from your device or its hardware. It is written into the record of each paid operation (an AI answer, a spoken story, gathering information about a place) and into usage events. The daily free limits are counted per account (see Account). The app also sends usage events — which screen was opened, which place was tapped, how long a story played — with a random session identifier that changes every launch. The app does not put coordinates in these events, and our database is set up to reject events that contain them.
Some events, and every record of a paid operation, include the install identifier. While you have an account, that identifier is also recorded on it, so these records can be linked to the account. When you delete your account the identifier on your phone is replaced; the records already written stay with the old identifier, which is then no longer linked to you.
You can turn usage events off in Settings → Privacy → Anonymous analytics. This stops the events the app sends. Records of paid operations are written by our servers and continue. Reports of an inaccurate fact are sent as usage events, so with this switch off they are not sent.
Account
You do not need to sign up. The app creates an anonymous account automatically the first time it uses one of its AI functions (usually when you open your first place card) or when you first save a place. Your lists are kept on our server under it, and the daily free limits are counted per account. You can also sign in with your email address and a one-time code, so your lists come back on another phone. We store that email address. There is no sign-in by phone number, Apple or Google.
Saved places and history
Saved places (the place, the name shown, the city and when you saved it) are kept on your phone and, once an account exists, on our server. The places you opened (the place, its name, the city and when) are kept on your phone and sent to our server. No coordinates are stored with them. Stories you listened to, places you shared, playback positions, your profile name and picture stay on your phone only.
Questions to the AI
Before your first question the app asks for your consent; your choice is kept on your phone and erased with your account. When you ask about a place, the text of your question and the place — the facts we hold about it — are sent to Anthropic’s Claude model, which writes the answer. Your location is not sent to the model. If the facts are not enough, a web search is made through Serper (Google search) with the name of the place and, possibly, the first 120 characters of your question. If you ask for the answer to be read aloud, the answer text is sent to ElevenLabs. Questions and answers are kept as a shared cache per place, so the next person asking the same thing gets the same answer; the cache does not record who asked.
Voice
The microphone is used only when you ask a question aloud. Recognition runs on your phone; if your phone cannot recognise speech on the device, the microphone button is not shown. The sound is not recorded or sent. Only the recognised text is used, as a question (above).
Camera
When you point the camera at a building, the picture is shown on your screen and is not uploaded. To identify the building, your location and the direction the phone faces (rounded to 5°) are sent to our database service.
Search
What you type in search is sent to our database service to find places and is not stored there. Your last 20 searches are kept on your phone. Usage events record only the length of a search, not its text.
Reports of inaccurate facts
When you mark a fact as wrong, we receive the place, which fact, its value, the source and the language. There is no free text. A copy is kept on your phone.
Weather and settings
The weather on the map is requested from Open-Meteo for the centre of the city shown, rounded to about a kilometre, not for your position. Your settings (language, theme, voice, units) stay on your phone.
Who receives data
| Service | What it receives |
|---|---|
| Supabase (database, accounts, files; hosted in the EU, Frankfurt) | Everything kept on our server, listed above, and the requests the app makes, including your location as part of a request. |
| Mapbox | Map tiles for the area you view. For a route: your starting point, destination and stops. Mapbox telemetry is switched off in the app. |
| Anthropic (Claude) | The text of your questions, after you consent, and information about places. Never your location, identifier or voice. |
| ElevenLabs | Text of stories and answers to be read aloud. Never your voice or your question. |
| Serper (Google search) | Search queries built from the name of a place and, for some questions, up to 120 characters of the question. |
| Jina, Firecrawl | Addresses of public web pages to read. Nothing about you. |
| 2GIS | The location of a building whose street number is missing. Never your location. |
| Open-Meteo | The centre of the city shown on the map, to about a kilometre. |
| Apple or Google (your phone’s geocoder) | Your position, to name the city on the profile screen. |
Like any service on the internet, each of these receives the IP address of the device or server making the request. We do not use crash reporting, advertising or analytics SDKs from other companies.
How long we keep it
- Saved places, history and your email: until you delete your account.
- An anonymous account with no activity for 180 days is deleted automatically, with its lists. An account you have signed into with email is kept until you delete it.
- Daily limit counters: up to 30 days.
- Usage events and records of paid operations: 180 days.
- Questions and answers to the AI: 30 days; an answer that found nothing is kept for one day.
- Location, voice and camera pictures: not kept by us.
Protection against abuse
To make the limits harder to get around, we keep an irreversible hash of your IP address, made with a secret known only to our server, for no longer than two days. We do not keep the address itself.
Deleting your data
In the app: Profile → Settings → Privacy → Delete account. Without the app: see how to delete your account.
Deleted at once: your account and email, your saved places and history on our server, your daily limit counters, and everything the app keeps on your phone about you (lists, profile name and picture). A new install identifier is created.
Kept: usage events and records of paid operations, under the old identifier that no longer points to you, for up to 180 days; the shared question cache, which never recorded who asked, for up to 30 days; the IP hash, for up to two days; information about places, which is not about you; your settings on the phone until you remove the app.
If you have never opened a place card or saved a place, there is no account on our server. Data on your phone is removed by deleting the app.
A copy of your data
Profile → Settings → Privacy → Export my data creates a file with your email, saved places, searches, reports and history from your phone.
Children
The app is not directed at children under 13.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it or to delete it, and you can object to its use, by writing to [ПОЧТА ПОДДЕРЖКИ]. We answer within 30 days. You may also complain to your data protection authority.
Governing law
This policy is governed by the law of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Security
Data travels over encrypted connections (HTTPS). On our server each account can read only its own lists; usage events can be written by the app but read only by us. On your phone the session is stored encrypted, and Android backup of the app’s data is switched off.
Changes
If we change this policy, we update the date above and say what changed on this page.
9 October 2026: the account is now created on first use of the AI functions as well as on first save; limits are counted per account; history is sent to our server; storage periods are set (180 days, 30 days, one day, two days); the IP hash, the consent before the first question, the phone’s geocoder, the encrypted session and disabled Android backup are described.
